Your Union has continued to consult closely with our legal partners to consider any and all possible legal remedies available through the court system to address the unfair treatment of our members working in, what we describe as, shonky pyramid contracting schemes. And today, a class action lawsuit by Shine Lawyers on behalf of subbies has been announced against another of the companies we claim are contributing to this significant employment emergency – BSA.

Over the coming weeks, a number of confidential and obligation-free meetings for members will take place with the CEPU and Shine Lawyers both in person and via teleconference.

Similar to those meetings organised late last year for CEPU members providing services for Tandem (formerly ISGM), these confidential meetings have assisted members in understanding the Class Action process in a safe environment without obligation, nor fear of repercussion.

Members will be advised of times and dates for the BSA information sessions shortly.

If you are in contact with any former member no longer in the industry who at some stage provided subcontracting services to BSA, you are encouraged to share this development with them.
