Air quality advice – 10 January 2020

Updated 1pm

Air quality in areas in and around Narrabri and Albury in NSW are at dangerous levels today. It is UNSAFE to be working outside. Members working in these areas should request indoor duties or go home.

Those in and around the Port Macquarie region should limit strenuous outdoor activity, take extra rest breaks and keep a close eye on updates to conditions as they may worsen, Those in these areas with existing respiratory or heart conditions should request indoor duties or go home.

Whilst your region may not be mentioned here, if any member feels that their health and safety is being affected due to the air quality in their particular area of outdoor duties they should request indoor duties or go home also.

Any member that requires assistance and support with this matter should contact their Branch Official directly or the office on (02) 9893 7822.

We will continue to keep this post updated throughout the day should the advice change.
