Branch Organiser

Aaron Stockdale is a NSW Postal & Telecommunications Branch Organiser. 

He is responsible for organising and servicing CEPU members employed in the following postal industry workgroups:   

  • Australia Post retail outlets in Sydney’s South
  • Australia Post delivery facilities in Sydney’s South
  • Australia Post delivery facilities in Sydney’s North (with Peter Chaloner)
  • Australia Post delivery facilities in Sydney’s East (with Peter Chaloner)
  • Australia Post Transport Hubs
  • Australia Post and private sector postal operators in the NSW Riverina – Murray region
  • Australia Post and private sector postal operators in the ACT and its region
  • Australia Post and private sector postal operators on the NSW Central Coast
  • Australia Post and private sector postal operators in Newcastle and the NSW Hunter Region 

Aaron joined the CEPU as a Trainee Organiser in 2006 through the ACTU’s Organising Works training programme.  

He was appointed an employed industrial officer in an organising capacity in 2007. He was later appointed by the Branch Committee of Management as a Branch Organiser in 2010.

Prior to taking up a full-time role with the CEPU, Aaron was employed by Australia Post as a Hub driver.

During his employment with Australia Post, Aaron was very active within the Union as a workplace Union delegate and as a member of various Union committees including the CEPU Transport Council.

Along with Branch Organiser, Nathan Metcher, Aaron drives the Union’s organising initiatives in and holds policy responsibility for Australia Post retail outlets and represents the CEPU on the Australia Post State Level Retail Consultative Forum.   

Aaron also drives the Union’s organising initiatives in and holds policy responsibility for Australia Post Hubs. Also, the Australia Post delivery occupational group along with Peter Chaloner.
