Some members may be
aware of the online social networking phenomenon that is Facebook and
may have used the social networking site to find, contact and interact
with old school friends, workmates and long-lost family members.But something different is happening on Facebook, political parties, community organisations and trade Unions have begun using Facebook to network with their members, allow other members from across the country to network with each other and to provide up to date important information to their members which may or may not compliment their website and other electronic media and communications.
The CEPU is no different, we have created a Facebook group to allow our members to experience the same and not be left behind in the “Facebook Phenomenon”.
The CEPU Facebook group is constantly updated with important news updates, photos of members taking part in Union activities and some interesting videos to watch. Most importantly, it will allow CEPU members from all across Australia to interact with one another and be privy to the most up to date news from their Union.

If you don’t already have a Facebook profile, it is easy to join at www.facebook.com . However, the Union must remind members to be vigilant and take all the same precautions to protect their privacy while using any type of social networking tool online that they would in the ‘real world’.
