Wage increases for LPO employees
Monday 13 October 2008

The Australian Fair Pay Commission – Wage Setting Decision 2008 has resulted in a $0.57 per hour wage increase (approximately) $21.66 per week for licensed post office workers.  This equates to a $3.86% per annum wage increase at the base level (PSO Trainee).  Part-time workers are entitled to a pro-rata increase of $0.57 per hour for each hour worked per week.

The wage increase applies to workers in all Licensed Post Offices respondent to the Postal Services Industry Award 2003.  In addition the wage increases apply to all licensed post offices in Victoria where the predominant business of the licensed post office is the provision of postal services.

The application of the increase is limited to LPO workers who do not receive wage increases under a certified agreement or an AWA.  The increase takes effect from the first pay period on or after 1 October 2008

The table below sets out the relevant wage increases for LPO workers from 1st October 2008.
