Telstra boss makes "biggest fund-raisers" list for anti-worker US Presidential Republican candidate John McCain

While Telstra employees are being financially starved, overscruitinised, overworked and now still waiting for a fair and decent Union EBA, Telstra boss Sol Trujillo has again made the biggest fund-raisers list for one of his best mates, anti-worker, anti-Union, far right-wing US Presidential Republican candidate John McCain.

Trujillo made the list by raising between $US50,000 and $US100,000 for the Republicans.

However, this latest move by Trujillo doesn't quite meet his personal best when eight years ago he earned the title of "Major League Pioneer" for raising at least $US100,000 for the Republicans during George W Bush's quest for the White House throne.

A Telstra spokesman could not shed any light on the fundraising methods used by Trujillo which was described as his "private business" however, in February Trujillo said he would "max out in terms of what the federal election laws allow" him to donate. Trujillo is also the chairman of his best mate McCain's campaign "National Hispanic Advisory Board".

So our guess is, we finally now know what his frequent trips to the US are all about and what he does with his extreme bonuses while Telstra employees are still waiting for their fair share despite the added pressure being applied to employees due to Trujillo's 12,000 job slashing agenda.

Recently resigned Trujillo amigo Phil Burgess is also assisting the McCain campaign. Despite resigning as Telstra's public affairs chief in August to return to the US, he still sits on Telstra's payroll as a "consultant".
